PVH signs a licensing deal with Nike to enhance
men’s underwear business
PVH Corp, one of the renowned clothing companies in the world,
has signed a licensing deal with Nike, Inc. to design, source,
market and distribute Nike-branded underwear for men.
The agreement, according to analysts, will enable both the
giants to leverage each other’s customer reach. No financial
terms were, however, disclosed. The strong base of PVH’s
innovative underwear platform will help deliver interesting and
exciting Nike underwear for men – perfectly augmented by each
other’s commitment to quality and corporate responsibility.
While talking about the licensing deal, PVH’s Cheryl
Abel-Hodges, President, Calvin Klein North America and The
Underwear Group, said “We are incredibly proud to be working
with Nike, as this is an opportunity for two great companies to
build on each other’s strengths. This makes it a ‘win-win’ for
both of us and most importantly for all consumers.”
Nike men’s underwear is another enhancement to the portfolio of
PVH’s The Underwear Group, which already boasts of owning
stalwarts like Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein, among others.
