Uniqlo plans 4-fold increase in its Southeast Asian stores

The Japanese fast fashion retailer Uniqlo has big expansion plans in Southeast Asia!

The fashion giant aims to increase its store count in Southeast Asia by 4-folds during the next decade.

Substantiating more on the above, Tadashi Yanai, Chairman and CEO, Fast Retailing (Uniqlo’s parent firm) said “The pace of expansion in Southeast Asia is going to be faster than what it took to set up its 800-strong network of stores in China.”

Asia is indeed a fast-growing region! Just few weeks back, Uniqlo had opened its 60th store in Philippines and is now set to unveil its first store in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in November.

Earlier this year, Uniqlo had opened its second largest store in Singapore, when the brand launched the outlet at the beautiful Jewel Changi Airport.

Tadashi added that as of now Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos are not being considered as potential markets because there were more opportunities outside these countries.
