The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) and the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at improving cooperation and developing exchanges in the textile and clothing industries. The MoU was signed by Rakesh Mehra, Chairman of CITI, and James Kuo, Chairman of TTF, marking a major milestone in bilateral textile relations.
Under the terms of the MoU, effective immediately, CITI and TTF have committed to several major initiatives to strengthen their partnership. These include supporting business activities in trade, investment, and technology cooperation. Furthermore, both organisations will aid constructive dialogue among their members to promote collaboration.
The MoU also charts plans to organise seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and engagements with policymakers, delegations, and trade promotion agencies. This combined effort aims to enhance technological assistance, training, and capacity-building initiatives within the textile and clothing sectors. An important feature of the agreement is the exchange of information on policies and industry activities.
