GreenStitch targets major carbon emission reduction by 2030

GreenStitch, a sustainability-focused SaaS provider in the fashion and textiles industry, has set an ambitious target to manage one billion tonnes of carbon emissions by 2030. The Bengaluru-based company, co-founded by Narendra Makwana and Arpit Samdani in April 2023, has already managed around 15 million tonnes of carbon emissions.

“Currently, global emissions are around 54 billion tonnes, with projections indicating an increase to approximately 75 billion tonnes by 2030. So far, we have managed around 15 million tonnes of carbon emissions and by 2030, our target is to manage 1 billion tonnes,” said Makwana.

Within its first year, GreenStitch has provided sustainability solutions to over 100 factories. Its Indian clients include names such as Eastman Exports, Filatex, and Nahar Spinning Mills, while its global clients include IDH and Incredible Fashions.

Looking ahead, GreenStitch aims to expand its client base to over 10,000 factories by the fiscal year 2026. “We were primarily focusing on Southeast Asia, where the majority of the world’s textile and fashion emissions occur, to help brands measure their scope 3 emissions seamlessly. Currently, over 10 of the largest brands use the GreenStitch platform to manage emissions. The company plans to reach 200+ brands by the end of 2025,” said Samdani.
