EU launches €10m fund to boost textile circularity

The European Commission has launched a €10 million funding call under Horizon Europe to accelerate textile circularity across cities and regions.

The initiative aims to scale up systems for textile collection, advanced sorting for reuse, and affordable repair solutions. It also prioritizes the development of digital tools, including AI-driven sorting technologies and digital product passports, to improve pricing, traceability, and reuse efficiency.

The funding is expected to support innovative projects that can demonstrate real-world deployment, helping Europe move closer to a circular textile economy and reduce growing textile waste challenges.
