United Kingdom saw its clothing exports decline by 7.6 percent to about $293 million during January–February 2026, reflecting subdued demand in key European markets and ongoing cost pressures.
Textile fabric and fibre exports also recorded year-on-year declines, although there were signs of a mild month-on-month recovery in February.
The downturn continues a broader post-pandemic correction trend, with 2025 exports remaining under pressure despite a partial rebound in the final quarter.
Industry outlook remains cautious as weak external demand and cost challenges continue to weigh on export performance.
