Vietnam’s textile and garment exports rose modestly year on year to $11.9 billion during January to April 2026, reflecting steady global demand and stable manufacturing activity.
Yarn exports also recorded growth in both value and volume during the period, while fabric imports remained largely stable despite slightly softer annual demand. However, April saw a strong month on month rebound in fabric imports, signaling continued production momentum.
The Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) has set an ambitious export target for 2026 as the country continues strengthening its position in the global textile and apparel market.
