Cambodia’s clothing and textile industry is facing a sharp increase in transport costs as rising global oil prices linked to the Iran conflict continue to disrupt supply chains.
Industry representatives said transport expenses have climbed by around 20%, putting additional pressure on garment manufacturers and exporters. However, the government has kept electricity prices stable to reduce the burden on factories.
The crisis has also raised concerns over higher logistics costs, fuel inflation, and supply chain disruptions across Asia’s textile and apparel sector.
